Keep ‘em Rollin

High Cycle Rollers

Most tires typically last around 50,000 miles.  But that completely depends on your driving habits and the area where you live.

Like your vehicle's tires, garage door rollers have a specific cycle life.  Most rollers should offer usage up to 10,000 cycles, but that also depends on your family’s busy lifestyle and the type of weather conditions where you live.

For example, If you regularly use your garage door to get the kids to school, walk the dog, have deliveries made, basically use it as your front.  Those rollers might reach that 10K cycle life quicker.

Add in the crazy weather conditions such extreme cold or blazing heat, well you can just imagine the beating your garage rollers might take.

Therefore, lubricate regularly.  Much like our vehicle tires that require maintenance, maintaining your garage door rollers will go a long way.

Additionally, if you have older cheap plastic rollers, consider going with a nylon roller that has bearings or even a high cycle roller to maximize the usage of your garage door.
